Laxmi Cares successfully completed its 11th Annual Mountain Bike Rally
Laxmi Cares is a registered NGO established and managed by the staff of Laxmi Bank. It is the theme under which Laxmi Bank family invests in the community we live in to make a positive impact. As part of the “Ujyaalo Abhiyaan” under “Go Green” campaign, the 11th Annual Laxmi Cares Mountain Bike Rally was held on April 6 with 200+ cycling participants. With an aim to promote Go Green and Visit Nepal 2020, along with Nepal Tourism Board, this year’s cycling was done in Pokhara on a a 13-km stretch from Pokhara Industrial Estate to Waterfront Resort. The event was sponsored by Laxmi Bank and co-sponsored by Prime Life Insurance and Redbull. The event was also supported by Gents Park, Terra Motors, Yeti Airlines, Darbur Nepal, and CIWEC Hospital. The event ended with a Fun Fair-styled setting with live concert by Mukti and Revival, cycle stunts, local Jhaaki performances, and many more activities.

Aperitivo can be enjoyed at The Terrace, Hyatt Regency Kathmandu, every Friday from 4:00pm till 7:00pm at a rate of NPR 1,111 per person, plus taxes, for a glass of complimentary beer and canapes.
Skal International Nepal and Kirtipur Municipality Organizes Heritage Walk in Kirtipur
On March 13, in cooperation with Kirtipur municipality, Skal International Nepal organized a heritage walk in Kirtipur in a bid to promote tourism in the city and welcome in New Year 2076. The Skal delegation was led by club president Mr. Prabin B Pandey, while Kirtipur’s mayor, Mr. Ramesh Maharjan, and his team welcomed and escorted the delegation on the heritage walk to various historical sites of Kirtipur. During the event, a brief ceremony was organized in the vicinity of Uma Maheswar Temple, where Skal International Nepal members handed over 10 steel dustbins to the Mayor of Kirtipur to place in the vicinity of the Uma Maheswar and Bagh Bhairab Temples. Later, the club members distributed school bags and stationaries to various primary level school children of Kirtipur. School bags were sponsored by one of the members, Mr Hemant Kolachhapati. The program aimed to promote heritage tourism in Kirtipur and create awareness for a clean and plastic-free Kirtipur.

Turkish Airlines Continues Its Expansion
After successfully completing its “Great Move” and transferring all its passenger operations to its new hub, Istanbul Airport, Turkish Airlines now adds Marrakech, tourist city of Morocco, to its network. As the national flag carrier’s first inaugural flight from its new home, Marrakech became Turkish Airlines’ second destination in Morocco, while becoming its 308th destination globally. Starting on April 15, Istanbul – Marrakech – Istanbul direct flights will be commenced five days a week, as Turkish Airlines reinforces its title of flying to more international destinations than any other airline. The inaugural flight from Istanbul Airport, on landing at Marrakech Menara Airport, was welcomed by the customary water cannon salute in a formal ceremony attended by executives from the global carrier and Marrakech Menara Airport, and press members, as well.
Himalaya Airlines fortifies CSR ties with Prayas Nepal
On April 20, on the occasion of New Year 2076, Himalaya Airlines, an international air carrier of Nepal, strengthened its CSR ties with Prayas Nepal, with continued support of year-long educational and snacks supplies for the new educational year. Prayas Nepal is currently home to 32 aspiring children, including two special need children. Himalaya Airlines has been making persistent efforts for children’s development and encouragement since its establishment, and this is the third consecutive year of its support to Prayas Nepal.
